Veterinarians are at the forefront of helping owners recognize these problems early by asking all owners about problem behaviors that their pets may be having, and getting the owners and their pets the help that they need.

Reviewer: Catherine Harding This is a wonderful book, at least given where I am with my dog training. I am relatively new to the world of dog training (5 years) and Jean helps you understand how to break all commands into workable segments. She also does a great job of supporting the trainer -- I often feel overwhelmed when things don't go well, and Jean's book sorts that out. I like the way she helps you learn to drop back a level when the dog doesn't get it, or push forward if the dog has clearly understood what is being asked. This is a very sensible book! It would be good for teachers to read and try to implement in their classes. I wish I had had it from the outset.
